Since joining the Professional Photographers Of Canada in 2012, I have learned and grown so much as a business owner, photographer and artist. While I’ve shared the art, I don’t very often go into what I do behind-the-scenes within the PPOC organization. Over the past 6 years, I have been treasurer and vice-chair for the North Eastern Ontario PPOC branch, served on various provincial and national convention committees, worked with the Ontario pre-accreditation review committee, as well as design national ads, brochures, and magazine layouts.

One of the perks of volunteering, learning and creating is earning service and print merits with the PPOC. These merit points are used towards designations such as Craftsman of Photographic Arts, which I was awarded in 2017.  Then there is the Master of Photographic Arts, which I am happy to announce I have successfully earned this year!

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the annual awards banquet last weekend in Richmond. I was, however, pleasantly surprised to have my Master of Photographic Arts plaque and medallion delivered in the mail just a few short days after the ceremony!
